The United Republic of Tanzania participated in the 50th session of the Commission on the Status of Women in February 2006. Honourable Sophia M. Simba, Minister for Community Development, Gender and Children led the Tanzania delegation to the CSW 2006. Other delegates included: Honourable Asha A. Juma, Minister for Community Development, Gender and Children of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, Mrs. Mwaffisi, Dr. Kassimoto, Mrs. Mazalla, and Mrs. Mangesho.
